Evan Blackerby Trio in Concert at BMCA

Description

Join fellow music lovers for an evening of soulful storytelling and 'alt-bluesy Americana' as the Evan Blackerby Trio takes the stage at BMCA on Friday, November 20, at 7:30 PM. Experience the raw, eclectic sound of one of North Carolina’s most relentless and powerful musical voices. Following the success of his debut full-length album, Hop on the Bandwagon, Evan brings his unique 'folkish-rock-esque' style to BMCA’s intimate Gale Jackson Theatre. Described as a vocal blend reminiscent of Ray LaMontagne and Jack Johnson, Blackerby’s music explores the intersections of life’s beauty, the passage of time, and finding hope in the midst of upheaval. Evan is a recent winner of the Not Your Average Folk Contest as part of the North Carolina Folk Festival, and has made appearances on the Martha Bassett Show. Whether you’re a long-time fan of his 900+ live performances across the state or discovering his sound for the first time, this performance promises a night of deep connection and genuine artistry!
